Meet Our Missionaries

Steve and Melinda have worked as missionaries for Pioneer Bible Translators since 2016. They served as missionaries of the organization in facilities management and missionary care for four years, in all parts of Africa. In 202 they were invited to settle in Togo, West Africa to work in those same types of ministry. 

Ministry Work

 God has blessed the ministry of Steve and Melinda significantly during the past four years. In member care and support services of Pioneer Bible Translators, they walk alongside colleagues in ways that help them achieve their ministry goals. They supported PBT colleagues to begin a Bible translation project for a bible-less people group ni the north. After a high school was opened in a southern village, a Bible study and a youth discipleship program began at the nearby church, and God supplied Bibles for them to give to each student. As they invest in local relationships, they have seen God work in people’s lives, including some friends who are now attending church and Sunday School for the first time. They participated in the local church’s Youth Week Program, which equipped and empowered the youth in their walk with the Lord. Finally, every Christmas, they help provide food for workers at the mission farm.
